From the ages of 11 to 16, students at the International School of Milan follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP).
The Middle Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate encourages students to make links between their studies and the real world. Our IB programmes train our students to embrace a multicultural future. By nurturing a sense of responsibility, we encourage them to reach the highest standards in study and in life. IS Milan offers MYP students a pleasant and stimulating learning environment, where they can acquire knowledge, skills and good work practices that will be fundamental throughout their lives. The teachers encourage students to seek new challenges constantly, and remain at their side to guide and support them.
This programme has been created to encourage students to take increasing responsibility for their own learning process, assuming awareness and using the knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired autonomously. Autonomy is the key that will enable students to apply what they have learned concretely and to evaluate the information they receive critically.
