More than 3 000 m² of equipped open-air spaces, only 13 km from Modena, in a unique location of extraordinary beauty. Here we are preparing over 200 students, aged 3 to 18, for the world and its challenges. We help them to learn from their mistakes and to reinvent themselves every day. Our teachers are constantly at their side as they develop their critical capacities and their creative thought in a multicultural environment.

A structure specifically conceived for students and their learning, where pupils can develop a fuller understanding of values such as respect for the person and for the environment. Fundamental principles that will accompany them throughout the pathway of their growth, supported by the IB programmes. The classrooms, spacious and luminous, help to create an involving environment. In addition, a new wing completely dedicated to the IB Diploma Programme has now been added to our school complex.
An IB education provides opportunities to develop both disciplinary and interdisciplinary understanding that meet rigorous standards set by institutions of higher learning around the world. IB programmes offer curriculum frameworks and courses that are broad and balanced, conceptual and connected. The IS Group has an excellent track record in using group dynamics, innovative teaching techniques and tools that are updated continuously.
The Early Years section takes students aged 2 years and 8 months to 5, in spaces dedicated to study and play. Large and luminous, our classrooms help our youngest children in their education and their creative activities.
From the age of 3 to the age of 11, students at the International School of Modena follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), a programme based on inquiry and which places the child at the centre of the learning process, enabling him/her to acquire all the concepts proposed. In an active and stimulating study environment, our students face up to significant themes and subjects. They are encouraged to act, applying what they study and learn, even outside the school in their daily activities.
From the age of 11 to 16, students at the International School of Modena follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP).
The Diploma Programme is an exacting programme of pre-university studies, designed for students aged 16 to 19. The International School of Modena has been offering this course since September 2015, drawing considerably on the experience of our sister school in Milan, which has offered the programme since 1987.
A door to door bus service is available in the southern part of Modena and nearby areas. School transport will be allocated at the beginning of the school year. Changes in the bus schedules and routes may take place to accommodate new children.
Our newly constructed, purpose built facility provides ample space for teaching and learning. Classrooms are bright, spacious and well resourced. All classrooms have one computer that is used together with an up-to-date computer suite and a set of laptops which can access the wireless network throughout the school. The art laboratory provides space and inspiration for all students. The science laboratory and the design and technology room house the materials needed for essential hands-on learning.
• The multi-media library offers the latest children’s literature, non-fiction books and computer software. A beautiful domed auditorium provides space for music classes as well as dramatic productions, displays and meetings. The state of the art gymnasium is equipped with facilities for basketball, volleyball and a host of other sports activities. The large playground behind the school is ideal for playing, outdoor sports and open-air learning activities

Each day students can enjoy the balanced and healthy variety of the hot lunch programme, which provides freshly prepared, nut-free dishes, along with vegetables and fresh fruit.
